If you are a follower of Kenyan politics you must know who Nicholas Biwott is. The popular politician from Keiyo North is known to many as “total man”, meaning a man who is extremely rich. Biwott has been a member of parliament for over thirty good years and has in the process served the Moi government in various capacities and most notably holding various high ministerial positions. Biwott was one of the few allies of former president moi and people who know them say the duo had good relationship most of the times.

Moi trusted Biwott more than he used to trust his family members and as a result they own together many business ventures across Kenya and beyond and today when people talk about the issue of wealth in Kenya, Nicholas Biwot gets mentioned. He is super rich and because his master and mentor was former president, Moi, he has accumulated wealth which only few people can dream about.

Nowadays the man seems to be very anonymous in politics but who knows he is building day and night his huge business and commercial empire. Mzee Moi has been very active in politics but his former ally is most of the times dormant. Has he got tired of politics? Or is up to something else? Only time will tell but for now though let us see some of the things that Nicolas biwot owns.

  • yaya shopping centre (valued at shillings 3billion).
  • kobil petroleum company.
  • Land and property valued at billions of shillings.
  • Uhuru highway development company.
  • Shares in lots of companies listed in the Nairobi securities exchange.

The above are not the only things Biwott has interest in. He owns many more business ventures and what is more, hundreds of millions of shillings belonging to him could be lying in secretly kept foreign bank account. Yes, he is among a crop of former politicians who have looted the Kenyan public money during the KANU regime but whether you like it or not, Nicholas Biwott is a rich man and only a few people in Kenya can match him in terms of wealth.
